Shows a moa in the right foreground, being ridden by three Maori children, and led by a Maori man and youth. Two kiwi walk by the feet of the youth. There is a lake and hills in the background.
One of the moa riders has been identified as Eti Kupa. The man is Taketake. Three of the four figures are identifiable from photographs by W H T Partington (Wanganui Regional Museum’s Partington collection)
