oil painter, scene-painter and commercial artist, had a cottage studio in Phillip Street, Parramatta, New South Wales in the 1840s where, according to Rivett, he worked as a commercial artist, painting murals inside shops and inns and providing scenery for local theatrical productions. He also painted landscapes in oils. One was included in W. & F. Ford’s London Art Union, held at Sydney in 1848-49.
