Biography

My research interests are anchored in nineteenth-century visual culture and include album studies, collecting practices, science in art and design, collage and assemblage, domesticity and craft, and colonial Australia and New Zealand. In 2012, I received my doctorate from the Department of Art History and Film Studies at the University of Sydney with a thesis on the assemblage of nature in the antipodean album.
