I believe this artist has another work at the national library, attributed to BEH: https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-136188429/view
Warratah [i.e. waratah], Mount Wellington [picture] / A.E.B
All four of these works are botanical. However, I have in my posession a portrait of an American Indian, probably southwest plains, signed BEH. The style appears to be similar to the botanical works.
My painting came to me via England, but was framed in Adelaide by "Dimond Bros", so it has taken a long road.
I can contribute an image if anyone has an interest.
