Doug Hall first came to prominence with his curatorial scholarship at Bendigo Art Gallery. Later he was responsible for the transformation of the Queensland Art Gallery and the building of GOMA. Since leaving Queensland he has become an erudite and witty critic for the Australian Financial Review and The Monthly.
