Gerard Doube, in partnership with Isobel Doube began a furniture company in 1953. Gerard trained at the Melbourne Technical College and the Natl Gallery School. He worked as a painter, furniture designer and maker, later turning to fashion. Their work sold through Andersons, Prahan and appears in the retailer's advertisements.
