"Walter Knoll" was a firm established by Walter Knoll (1876-1971), a well-established furniture designer and maker with original headquarters in Germany. In 1980 "Walter Knoll Australia" was formed and WK Designs, Adelaide/Salisbury SA licensed to produce a selected range of Knoll-designed furniture. After 2007, WK Designs was purchased by Knoll to expand the SA range of furniture designs produced.
