Born in the USA, Jo Caddy arrived in Adelaide in 1957 where she pursued a successful career as both artist and arts educator. Renowned for her portraiture, several of Caddy's paintings were accepted into the Archibald Prize and in 1967, she was the recipient of the Portia Geach Memorial Award.
