Description

Because of Tasmania’s leading role in Green awareness in Australia, it seemed appropriate to exhibit the work of Tasmanian artists addressing these isues.
Seven artists (Karen Casey, Betsy Gamble, Karin Hauser, Alison Hood, Lorraine Jenyns, Grant Lohrey and Ian Munday), working in a diverse range of media and styles, were selected on the basis of their interests in these concerns and their connections with Tasmania. While some artists were born and educated in Tasmania, others have travelled here from other parts of the world, and made their homes here.
