Laura Hindmarsh, Tasmanian-based video artist, graduated from the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania, with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in 2010. She received the RACT Insurance Portrait Prize and an Australia Council Jump mentorship with Lucas Ihlein in 2012, followed by an Artstart grant in 2013. Hindmarsh participated in '...come to life…’, an exhibition showcasing emerging young Tasmanian artists, which was co-curated by the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) and Contemporary Art Spaces Tasmania (CAST) and held at the QVMAG, Launceston, from 13 July 2012 to 17 February 2013. She currently chairs the Constance ARI (formerly known as Inflight) Gallery in Hobart, Tasmania.
