In 2007 the NGA acquired James Agapitos OAM, and Ray Wilson OAM, collection of Australian Surrealist art. Drawn from this collection this exhibition showed the breadth of Surrealist practice in this country from the 1920s to the 1950s.
This is a small selection of Dupain’s work, drawn from the collection, which brings to light the influence that Man Ray had on the young photographer.
