Mike Singe, mixed media artist, moved from Western Australia to Hobart in late 2008 where he received his Master’s degree from the Tasmanian School of Art. He participated in the group exhibition 'Lookout’ at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in 2010, and held his first Tasmanian solo exhibition, 'Warm Up’, the same year.

Singe’s work engages with alternative and curious ways of capturing energy and carbon dioxide, through focusing, for instance, on human breath. His current art practice aims to discover how the strategic utilization of energy within art can be developed into a language, strategy and methodology capable of actively responding to the anxiety surrounding climate change.
