Renate Nisi moved to Australia from Germany in 1971 and lives in Adelaide. Nisi graduated from Adelaide Central School of Art in 2001 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) and since then she has returned there to lecture in sculpture. Nisi started Union Street Studios in 2006 and is the studio manager and tutor.
