Tapper studied at the London College of Furniture finishing in 1963, later working as staff designer Vanson Furniture UK, arr. Australia ca.1967, then designing for Charles Catt and Son, WA, then Chiswell Furniture in 1969. (NB: information taken from unidentified news cutting (ca.1969, p.68) in A. Knaap papers, Powerhouse Museum.
