    Description

The Society of Interior Designers (later Society of Interior Designers of Australia) formed in 1951 and by 1952 initiated the “Good Design” award to reward Australian designers for their achievements. Initially, the Good Design award was given monthly, accompanied by national press releases and photography. Awards were given for furniture, furnishings, lighting, tableware and other locally designed goods.
