Damien Baumgartner, Tasmanian-based painter, investigates the haunting quality of urban dystopic landscapes. Baumgartner was selected as a finalist for the Brett Whiteley Travelling Scholarship in 2005 and for the Glover Landscape Prize in 2004. He participated in the group exhibition '...come to life…’ held at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston, from 13 July 2012 to 17 February 2013.
