Digby was an artist and designer working in costume and set design for the Australian Opera, the Australian Ballet and other performing arts companies. He also worked as a book illustrator producing covers for some Patrick White novels and children's books such as Bottersnikes & Gumbles and a treatment for Waltzing Matilda.
