Douglas Baulchs works were done plein-air in a blended impressionist/realism style. He exhibited extensively at the Victoria Artists Society. He settled in the Yarra Valley for it beauty as renowned by the Heidelberg School, which is evident in his works. In 65 he went to Dampier and captured its beauty.
