Wrobel was a private gallery curator ( Woolloomooloo Art Gallery ) and collector working with her partner Fred Wrobel until his death. In 2003, she created the John Passmore Museum of Art to preserve and promote his work after an inheritance from the Passmore estate in 1989. The museum collected broadly She was also instrumental in promoting the Nightingale Museum of nursing as well as the career of Percy Grainger (d.1961)
