Eric Thompson b. 1 January 1905

Thompson trained as an architect at the Sydney Technical College and moved to the USA in 1927 where he made a career as a draughtsperson. He later worked for MGM Studios, Hollywood after 1928, moving into art direction as his career advanced. He returned to Australia ca.1937 working for Cinesound and the Commonwealth Film Unit. He also drew many heritage buildings in pencil, published in several volumes.
