McDiarmid’s second one-person show was held at Hogarth Galleries, Sydney, in December 1978, and featured a suite of work executed in collage on
mulberry paper and an accompanying portfolio of
offset printed works drawing on hyper-masculine images of American gay male visual identity: ‘clones’, lumberjacks and cowboys.
