Painter, was evidently a pupil of J.S. Bowman . At the 1875 Melbourne Intercolonial Exhibition (preparatory to the 1876 Philadelphia International Exhibition) he exhibited from Bowman’s studio address (31 Russell Street, Melbourne) and with Bowman’s other students: 3058 'A Pool in the Otway Ranges’, crayon; 3059 'Louttit Bay’, oil; and 3060 'Devil’s Kitchen, Piggoreet’, crayon.
