Garth Paine is an academic, composer, installation art and sound designer. Several of his works have involved the creation of interactive responsive environments where the inhabitant generates the sonic landscape through their presence and behaviour. Paine has exhibited and performed widely in Australia and internationally, and has contributed to scholarship on music and interactivity as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Western Sydney for many years.
