Kral was a designer initially active in Melbourne where he was a founder member of the Gallery A commercial design team. He carried out exhibition work for the Commonwealth Department of Trade and undertook commercial interior design work in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. He was also active in the graphic arts.

Kral is credited with the design of La Caprice Café – Collins Street, Melbourne, c1956. Silver gelatin photograph, photographer’s stamp, negative number “2307D”, titled and annotated “George Kral” in pencil by Sievers and numeric annotations in pencil in various hands verso, 19.4 × 24.6cm. Minor stain and crease to lower left corner of image.
Stamp includes “Wolfgang Sievers Photographer, 9 Collins St, Melbourne.”
