Gerd Block

Renate and Gerd Block worked in partnership as architects. In 1958, they were exhibiting furniture and lighting in "Architecture and Arts" magazine as Gerd and Renate Architects. They were among the first interior architects to design and install the "office landscape" or Bürolandschaft in Australia. Their first commission to use this design approach was the Nunawading Municipal Offices in Victoria ca.1969.

Mr. Gerd Block.Studied architecture in Berlin and

Final Year thesis at Karlsruhe. Migrated to
Australia, 1951 . ln private practice, with his
wife, since 1956. Post graduate degree
Melbourne University, I965. Senior Lecturer
and Year Master at School of Architecture
and Building, University of Melbourne,
since 1964. Published works on Network
Analysis and Architectural Education.
