A. Simpson and Son metalworking was founded in South Australia in 1852, the founder's sons continued the business moving into whitewoods, Rheem appliances, Bush Radio and televisions. In 1963, they merged with Pope Industries forming Simpson Pope Holdings manufacturing whitewoods.
