We Are All Boat People was an activist collaboration formed in response to the Australian Governments handling of what be known as 'The Tampa crisis' when the Tampa, a Norwegian freighter, rescued 433 asylum seekers whose ferry had sunk off the coast of Christmas Island and the government attempted to refuse the freighter to port in Australia.
