Thomas is a Luritja man best known for his design for the Aboriginal flag (1971) but he has been active across a range of media including watercolour and painting. Thomas also illustrated the volume "Tales Told to Kabbarli: Aboriginal Legends Collected by Daisy Bates" (1972).
