Henry Black

Black is a designer/maker, apprenticed in Patternmaking at the Garden Island Naval Dockyard later studying at the Canberra School of Art . Making his major pieces at Don Lee's workshop in Fishwick as he found being a minion of Georges stifling. Black won a major furniture commission for the 1988 Parliament House, Canberra.He worked with Aldo Gurgolo on the design of the parliamentary chairs.
