Laurence West b. 1914

Also known as Laurie West, WESTS
West was a writer, lecturer & retailer of modernist designer furniture in Brisbane. He frequently wrote on furniture design & at one point in his career, described himself as a furniture designer. His retail outlet, WESTS, in Fortitude Valley was designed by Karl Langer. Langer's building survives. WESTS sold locally manufactured furniture by Clement Meadmore, Roger McLay and others.
