Leon Gellert b. 1 January 1892

Leon Gellert was a poet and writer. He taught in Sydney at 1918 and later entered journalism, working with Sydney Ure Smith as an editor at Art in Australia and The Home from 1922 to 1938. He was an early advocate of modernism in design and architecture in Australia. He later became a writer for the James Fairfax press
