Lydia Evangelou-Oost is a Tasmanian-based artist who focuses on stop motion animation techniques. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (hons) in 2011 from the School of Art at the University of Tasmania. Evangelou-Oost has exhibited in the Hatched National Graduate Show in 2012 held at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Western Australia, and '...come to life…’, an exhibition showcasing emerging young Tasmanian artists, which was co-curated by the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) and Contemporary Art Spaces Tasmania (CAST) and held at the QVMAG, Launceston, from 13 July 2012 to 17 February 2013. Evangelou-Oost was the recipient of the Bett Gallery Honours Award in 2011.
