Margo Lewers, a painter was the first person to introduce the Bauhaus to Australians. As a leading abstract expressionist painter, she received favourable reviews, won many awards and her work was included in major exhibitions. She was also active as a commercial artist, textile designer, potter and gallery manager [Notanda, Rowe Street, Sydney].
