Marion Fletcher b. 1910

  • Curator (Textile Artist / Fashion Designer)
Fletcher trained at the Edinburgh College of Art, arriving in Australia in 1947. She worked as a textile designer with Vida Turner, Melbourne, later teaching at the Melbourne Technical College. She later became curator of decorative arts (textiles) at the National Gallery of Victoria where she began to build their collection. She retired in 1972.
