Re the Photographic Society of NSW annual exhibition: 'A New printing paper prepared by Messrs Baker and Rouse, called the “Austral simplex paper” was much admired. It is developed in the same manner as bromide paper, but it has the advantage that no dark room is required’ ( Sydney Morning Herald 17 August 1898, 6).
