Paul Davis, ceramicist, ran Sturt Pottery at Mittagong, NSW, from 2001 to 2008. During that time he worked collaboratively with Jacqueline Clayton, with whom he shares an interest in Japanese culture. In 2005 the pair formed the tableware company Press to play.

In 2007 Davis’ and Clayton’s work was included in the Powerhouse Museum exhibition 'Smart works: design and the handmade’.
