religious painter, was living in Lonsdale Street, East Melbourne in 1854 when he exhibited four oil paintings at the Melbourne Exhibition. They were Elevation of the Cross, Symbol of the Crucifixion, Emblem of the Odd Fellows Society and Temptation.
