Born at Coniston Station c. 1945 of the Anmatyerre tribe, Peggy Brown is the daughter of Mt Allan headman Frank Japanangka . When she was a young girl, she was taught to paint by her grandfather and by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri . Her country is also Mt Allan, and she paints the Yuelamu Honey Ant Dreaming. She now lives in Alice Springs, where she has sold her works through the Corkwood Gallery and Jukurrpa artists’ co-operative.
