Lloyd worked for the interior designer Paul Carlyle in Rundle Street, Adelaide, later working for Reg Riddell, Melbourne. He came to Sydney ca. 1947 working in furnishings in McCathie’s department store and for other Sydney designers including Tinker Tailor Interiors.
