Thomas John Domville Taylor was one of the earliest European settlers on the Darling Downs, and made pencil sketches of of the landscape and daily life. These sketches are some of the earliest visual records of European occupation of the Darling Downs, and also depict some of the earliest conflicts in the region between settlers and Indigenous communities.
