Vida Turner

Turner was a textile designer working from a studio in Queen Street, Melbourne. A report in the Adelaide news states she began the business at 19 years of age and by 1940 employed 35 women in Melbourne with a branch in Sydney. Amongst her employees was the fashion historian in the making, Marion Fletcher, later a curator at the National Gallery of Victoria
