Biography

In 2015 Georgia completed a Doctorate of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong. Her thesis entitled, THE EARTH AND THE ELEMENTS: MULTI-SCREEN DOCUMENTARY AND HOW THE CINEMA MIGRATES, looked at responses to the global environmental crisis via an intercultural and multiscreen approach. The 5-screen video installation visualised the resources exchange between Australia and China, reflecting on the proposition that the two countries are interconnected and thus implicated in climate change.
This work was exhibited in 2015 at University of Wollongong Digital Media Gallery, in 2016 at UNSW Galleries, in 2017 at the Nth Sydney Art Prize and at Samstag Museum UniSA.
Georgia has a background writing, producing and directing documentary and drama films. She has produced more than 20 hours of television, feature documentaries, factual series, short films and ads, as well as production managing drama and a range of other genres. Recent titles include: New Beijing:Reinventing a City (Documentary- Director), Cultivating Murder (Feature doco- producer), Memories of the Struggle (multiscreen installation films for museum exhibition).
