Davina Jackson is a Sydney-based writer, editor and curator promoting creative progress across architecture, design, electronic arts and urbanism. She is a visiting research fellow with the computing department at Goldsmiths, University of London, and an associate editor (arts, music, architecture) for German science publisher De Gruyter Open. A former editor of Architecture Australia and writer/stylist for Vogue Living, Belle and other Australian interiors magazines, she has an M.Arch (history and theory) from UNSW and was UNSW's NewSouth Global Associate Professor of Multi-Disciplinary Design 2005-2007. She also created the world's first online architecture masters unit course, for COFA Online 2004, and was a founder of the world's first 'smart light' festivals in Sydney (Vivid) and Singapore (iLight Marina Bay). Her latest book is SuperLux: Smart Light Art, Design and Architecture for Cities (Thames & Hudson, 2015) and the next is Douglas Snelling: Pan-Pacific Modern Architecture and Design (PhD thesis update for Ashgate/Routledge, 2016).
