Molnar was an architect, cartoonist, watercolourist, illustrator and architecture lecturer at Sydney University and the University of NSW. His lecturers were highly praised by students. While his architecture appears undocumented, he is best known for his cartoons for Sydney's daily newspapers, frequently satirical and often directed at his architectural profession.
