A.G. Healing

A. G. Healing was a Melbourne manufacturer who in the early 1930s produced and sold an Australian version of the Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer bent steel cantilevered chair. The Healing chair had black resin armrests, a leather seat and back on a steel frame. the chair was sold through outlets in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.

Drawing on information from the Museum of Victoria, Alfred George Healing was the founder of A.G. Healing who imported British motorcycles, manufactured bicycles and some time later, became a major local manufacturer of radios, TV and appliances.
