Coalesce is presented as part of FORM’s Southern Exposure exhibition series, showcasing the talented artists of Western Australia’s southern regions.

South West Art Now is a biennial survey of new work by artists who live in the South West corner of WA. This edition attracted a large number of applications with the final exhibition featuring over 50 artists, ranging from emerging to established practitioners.

A biennial series of exhibitions of artists’ books organised by Gallery East in Western Australia. Despite the social upheaval, disruption of everyday lives, not least in art schools, and a sclerotic postal service, caused by the pandemic, the high level of representation by leading international and Australian artists working in this field experienced over the last decade was sustained for the 2021 exhibition.

HE | SHE | THEY is a journey into gender identity. The exhibition will explore notions of inclusion and diversity, celebrating the heterogeneity of gender within Western Australian culture and community.

This exhibition presents among the most extensive surveys of contemporary art about gender in Western Australia to date. 37 WA artists explore the theme with performance, painting, photography, sculpture, video and more.

'Eight’ looks at end-of-life cultural experiences; how people respond to such experiences; and the environments and institutions they encounter. These experiences are universal, and this work has the capacity to extend dialogue, both within the arts as well as in connection to larger social issues.

Bunbury Biennale 2019 is a prestigious art exhibition, showcasing the best of contemporary art from around Western Australia. Held every two years, this exhibition occupies the two largest exhibition spaces at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery.

34 emerging and established artists from around WA have been selected to produce artwork specifically for this exhibition.

An initiative of the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Foundation, the award honours the philanthropy of Win Schubert AO (1937-2017) and her extraordinary generosity as a lifelong custodian of Australian photography, art and creativity. It is now also the biggest award in photography for Queensland and second in Australia, acting as a touchstone for contemporary photographic practice nationwide. The award is intentionally left open and not narrowed by theme, encouraging entries from both emerging and established photographers and artists.

The Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award is Australia’s premier showcase of prints and artists’ books. The award and exhibition, which have been running for more than 40 years, boast a national judging panel and $22,000 in prize money. The FAC Print Award presents the best works from established, emerging and cross-disciplinary artists.

'A Matter of Response’ is an exhibition by six South West artists who have been invited to collaborate in pairs in response to their choice of artworks and associated stories from the City of Bunbury Art Collection. The exhibition creates new connections and relevance to key artists and works, offering fresh ways for audiences to engage with the collection as well as new inspiration for local artists.

quiet moments showcases the work of some of the premier photographers from the UK, Europe and Australia.

“Susanna Castleden was picked from a field of 19 West Australian artists to win the $30,000 2013 Bankwest Art Prize at a ceremony held at Bankwest Place. This year’s judges – Ian Potter Museum of Art director Kelly Gellatly, Art on the Move executive director Paul Thompson and Art Curator for Bankwest Sandra Murray – described the winning work as “the quintessential experience of Australian childhood; camping and caravanning”.
