Jonathan Duckworth is a new media artist. His interests focus on the design, interaction, presence, and psychological effects of digital environments, having specialized in the development of interactive 3D graphics for over nine years at the Virtual Reality Centre, RMIT University, Melbourne.

New media artist Jonathan Duckworth is based in Melbourne. His practice has been partly underpinned by his extensive training in Architecture, and he has also worked on a range of international projects in computer generated analysis. For many years he has specialised in the development of interactive 3D graphics at the Virtual Reality Centre, RMIT University, Melbourne. In 2000 Duckworth, Mark Guglielmetti and Lawrence Harvey founded the cross-disiplinary artistic team Metraform, in collaboration with RMIT’s Interactive Information Institute (I-cubed). Metraform produced several interactive virtual reality environments including Ecstasis, which was exhibited at the Perceptual Difference exhibition at the 2004 Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (BEAP).
