HE | SHE | THEY is a journey into gender identity. The exhibition will explore notions of inclusion and diversity, celebrating the heterogeneity of gender within Western Australian culture and community.

This exhibition presents among the most extensive surveys of contemporary art about gender in Western Australia to date. 37 WA artists explore the theme with performance, painting, photography, sculpture, video and more.

Description

Part of the Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (Stillness) which was staged between 10 – 23 September, 2007. In addition to the 3D video work 'paintedSKY’, this exhibition included a series of timelapse films of the activity of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). This footage was derived from photos which were taken every 20 seconds by the all-sky camera at the Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory in Finland.
